I came into this world as Burnella Jane Hayes; better known to my friends as Bunnie Jackson-Ransom. Sometimes known to the business world as Bunnie Jackson or Bunnie Ransom—depending upon the time you worked with me. However I like to believe that I am the same except for a few more grey hairs and wrinkles as I grow older.
I am a marketing professional, with more than 40 years of experience in hands-on public relations that run the gamut. At First Class, Inc, the agency which I founded in 1975, we have worked for various clients including corporations, municipalities, politicians, churches, small businesses, non-for-profit agencies, and the individual who just wanted a little help to “get the word out.” Just “google” me.
As one of the founders of First Class, Inc., and a practicing public relations/marketing consultant, I have been writing content and copy for clients – for brochures, speeches, news stories, etc. – for a long time. About ten years ago, I decided to do some writing on my own time and I have discovered my southern style and voice. Hence, many of the biographies I have written have now turned into blogs on Atlanta’s History Makers. I will “sweeten” them a bit; but I am striving to share the legacy of Atlanta’s Black community. I plan to write about the old and the not-so-old – anyone who is making history. I am constantly updating this blog with new Black history makers — please visit us frequently. If you have any “black history makers” that you would like to suggest, please contact me.
